DVD Birding in Israel: Part 1

Naturalist Malcolm Rymer joins a group of friends visiting the renowned birding hotspot of Southern Israel during Spring Migration.

The Rift Valley is a globally significant thoroughfare for many Afro/Palearctic migratory birds, with the bottle-neck geography of the Eilat and Jordanian mountains funnelling their flight passage over this restricted area.

'In Spring I'd heard that migration here can be excellent to phenomenal - sometimes overwhelming. Spring it should be then - we were prepared to be overwhelmed.'

Based at Kibbutz Lotan in the Arava Valley of Southern Israel, Malcolm turns his lens to capture a fascinating record of memorable birding experiences.
