The Helios LightWing HR 8x42 ED roof prism binoculars are bright new stars in the Helios roof prism range which will satisfy even the most discerning user. The body is constructed from lightweight but robust magnesium alloy and is covered in stylish green protective rubber armouring. All models features high-index BaK-4 prisms which are both Phase and Silver Di-Electric coated. Optics are Fully Broadband Multi-Coated with premium extra high-transmission Coatings. These special features combine to provide a light transmission throughput exceeding 90%!! Images delivered are crisp and sharp, with excellent resolution, contrast, brightness and depth of field, with natural levels of colour.
The field of view is generously wide with good edge definition and the near focus capability of all models is a highly respectable 2 metres. Waterproof (30 mins at 1 metre depth) and nitrogen filled for clear, fog-free operation. Twist-up, 3–position eyecups with metal sub-structure. Suitable for spectacle wearers. Knurled metal, easy-grip focusing knob with about 1.5 turns from closest focus distance to infinity. Integral tripod bush.
