Superb Optics and Usability

Birders Store delivered this scope on time and in perfect condition so 5 stars to them. The scope delivers almost optically perfect images across the whole field of view, and up to 40x magnification. I could only find the slightest of chromatic aberration against highly contrasted subjects in very bright sunlight, and slight chromatic aberration on the 1st quarter moon. I could see that someone was wearing glasses from 1.3 km but albeit in good seeing conditions, so it can resolve below 2 arc seconds. The scope feels very well made and tough. It is easy to use and focus. It is perfect for bird watching and I could easily see the yellow circle around the eye of a Little Ringed Plover at over 100 meters and the fine feathers of cormorants at 500 meters. No doubt a target shooter would find this an excellent scope The colours are bright and natural and the scope performs well at dusk.
The objective lens cap falls off very easily , Viking should provide a tethered cap; they fall down on this but I forgive them for this as the optics etc. are superb. You will have to pay many hundreds more to find a better scope. 5stars, my view is don't hesitate buy it.
