Sardinia, the second largest in the Mediterranean Sea, is a fabulous place to spend a holiday birdwatching. It offers a wide range of habitats which are home to many resident bird species and its use of traditional farming methods have helped preserve many species which have declined elsewhere in Europe. This film was made during two short trips to the island in May and June. It also includes a one day trip to the neighbouring island of Corsica. Both Sardinia and Corsica have a lot to offer the travelling birdwatcher, far more than is covered here. However, this film will hopefully capture the essence of both islands and will encourage you visit at least one of them.
